Club Chooses Single Tier Membership | Upper Valley Flying Club

After a few months of debate, the club membership has decided to eliminate “half” memberships, which were intended for students. The reason primarily is that students wanted to be able to fly more than the limited membership allowed. As of July 1st, all members will pay $110 per month in dues. Aircraft rates will remain the same for now (fuel is going up so there may need to be an increase). All members will enjoy the same privileges, whether student or licensed member.

Membership in the club continues to be full. Apologies to those waiting to get into the club--we can only manage so many members with two planes. We tried out a third plane a couple years ago, but the finances didn't pan out. So, we remain a two-plane club and keep our membership limited so that everyone has reasonable access to the planes. We take new members first-come first-served from the waiting list. If you're hoping to join, best thing to do is apply to join and we will put you on the waiting list. 182 Grounded

Our 182 is grounded for the foreseeable future for unexpected repair work on the prop and engine. Unfortunately, shops are backed up so much that we don't expect the plane to return to service for months. This unfortunately also means the club will not be taking any new members for the foreseeable future so that existing members have reasonable access to our 172.
