Spring & Summer 2026 Ops | Upper Valley Flying Club

We are down to one plane for a while, our 172. The 182 is being repaired after an incident–pilot retraction of landing gear while on the ground. The club is taking no new students until the 182 is back in operation to provide as much availability as possible to the 172 for existing members. The 182 will be back in operation this fall.

Winter Ops / Membership / Training

As of today we are switching to winter operations, where we keep the aircraft engines and cabins heated. This protects the engines from cold starts and keeps mechanical instruments happier. Membership remains full at 50 members. We cap membership at this number to keep plane access relatively open for members. We are currently taking no new students as our few member instructors have as many students as they can handle. If you are seeking instruction in the short term, we suggest contacting flight schools at Laconia, Keene or Concord airports. The club does not provide training to non-members, per FAA regulations. Membership Full

Membership in the club continues to be full. Apologies to those waiting to get into the club--we can only manage so many members with two planes. We tried out a third plane a couple years ago, but the finances didn't pan out. So, we remain a two-plane club and keep our membership limited so that everyone has reasonable access to the planes. We take new members first-come first-served from the waiting list. If you're hoping to join, best thing to do is apply to join and we will put you on the waiting list.
