182 Goes In For Upgrade | Upper Valley Flying Club

This weekend, the 182 will be ferried to Green Mountain Aviation in Middlebury, Vermont, for it’s avionics upgrade. We’re very excited about this. The 182 is a great flying platform, but the panel has left a lot to be desired and has had problems on a regular basis. So, we’re fixing it! The plane will be down about a month while work is completed. In the mean time, we have our 172 available to all club members.

Membership in the club continues to be full. Apologies to those waiting to get into the club--we can only manage so many members with two planes. We tried out a third plane a couple years ago, but the finances didn't pan out. So, we remain a two-plane club and keep our membership limited so that everyone has reasonable access to the planes. 182 Grounded

Our 182 is grounded for the foreseeable future for unexpected repair work on the prop and engine. Unfortunately, shops are backed up so much that we don't expect the plane to return to service for months. This unfortunately also means the club will not be taking any new members for the foreseeable future so that existing members have reasonable access to our 172.
