182 Upgrade | Upper Valley Flying Club

The club membership voted to upgrade our 182RG and bring it into the 21st century. It’s a great aircraft but the panel has frustrated many of us with various quirks. We have arranged with Green Mountain Avionincs in Middlebury, Vermont, to do the upgrade. Here’s a mockup of the new panel.

The upgrade includes:

Aspen Pro 1000 with Synthetic Vision and AOA
New Garmin Audio Panel
New Garmin GTN Touch 650 Navigator
New Garmin Nav/Com #2 Radio
New Garmin GTX 345 Mode S ADSB-Compliant Transponder

Membership Full

Membership in the club continues to be full. Apologies to those waiting to get into the club--we can only manage so many members with two planes. We tried out a third plane a couple years ago, but the finances didn't pan out. So, we remain a two-plane club and keep our membership limited so that everyone has reasonable access to the planes. 182 Grounded

August 14th, 2024

Our 182 is grounded for the foreseeable future for unexpected repair work on the prop and engine. Unfortunately, shops are backed up so much that we don't expect the plane to return to service for months. This unfortunately also means the club will not be taking any new members for the foreseeable future so that existing members have reasonable access to our 172.
